Y Before and After School Programs support children in reaching their full potential by providing academic support and hands-on enrichment experiences in a safe and structured environment for children grades Kindergarten through Middle School.
Located directly on your child’s school campus, we partner with the school by working directly with teachers to support student learning.

CHARACTER BUILDERS
Our Character Builders program provides quality, affordable and dependable care to elementary and middle school students. We provide before and after school care, offering a safe place for youth to learn, grow, and thrive socially, emotionally, and physically. Program activities include homework support, health and wellness, visual and performing arts, sports, art, leadership development, service learning, and character development.

DASH
WHAT IS DASH?
Dynamic After School Hours is an enrichment and recreational after-school program that is funded by the Chula Vista Elementary School District and operated by the South Bay Family YMCA. DASH operates for 2.5 hours after school on regular days, and 3.5 hours after school on minimum days.
This free program provides students in Transitional Kindergarden (TK)*- 6-grade homework support and the opportunity to exercise and socialize in a safe, healthy, and fun environment.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE DASH AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM
ENROLLMENT & PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
- All students in grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) to 6th who attend Discovery.
- Complete one application per student using the link below.
